~ Will I be able to marry? If yes, when?
- Will I be single for life?
- Is my current partner/ husband/wife the right one for me?
If you are however interested on the analysis and interpretation on how the aspect of love and marriage is done when reading your bazi chart, here is a simplified way of how it is done.
1) First is you have to have your Bazi chart.

When you have your Bazi chart, look for your Natal chart as shown below:
So if you are male with a Daymaster of Earth (Wu or Ji earth), the element that represents your wife is Water
(Ren or Gui water). For women with a Daymaster of Earth, the element that represents your husband is of Wood.
Refer to the table below for the elements that represent the compatible Spouse for the 5 different Elements of the Daymaster.
For example, in the sample Bazi chart above, the Daymaster is Ren water and the Month Branch is Yang (Wu) Earth (element of Dog). In the cycle of elements, Earth exhausts Water.
On the table above, the elements of Water and Metal would be supportive of a Water daymaster, but neither one appear in the heavenly stem and branch of our sample chart's day and month pillars. Does this make our sample chart a 'weak' one?
When the month branch is in season or in a supportive season, (cycle of elements) most experts would agree that it is a generally strong daymaster. If it does not have any of the
in-season or supportive season elements on the month branch, then it can be termed (although not always) as a weak day master.
Once we have determined whether we have a weak or strong daymaster, we can then be able to identify our favorable and unfavorable elements by referring to the table below:
So if this lady is a client and asks if she would eventually get married, the answer would be yes ( her potential husband's element can be found in her month branch, but he may have a stronger personality that may be opposing her~ yang earth vs yin earth). The opportunities are there and as always, the decision to marry one's suitors would be a personal choice one has to make.
If she asks whether the marriage would be a happy one, the answer would be courteously conveyed as "she would have to work hard on it."
4) Going into a more detailed analysis
Another popular question that is commonly asked about relationships is " when will one get married?"
Our Bazi analysis can offer us a peak or an insight as to what our destiny has in store for us regarding this question.
Here is another sample chart (with the year luck pillars) of a well known personality with a daymaster of Ding Fire:
This gentleman with a daymaster of Ding Fire was born in the season of Hai (water) which is not supportive, making it a weak DM. However, it has the element of Xin metal (which represents his spouse) in the heavenly stem of his month pillar, and also rooted in this day pillar. This means that this gentlemen will not find it difficult to find a lady to his liking and he will be married if he chooses to. Notice that his peach blossom animal ( horse) is also present in his year pillar so he will be very attractive to the ladies.
Although his marriage palace element ( yin earth) is not supportive, he has the favorable element of jia ( yang wood) rooted in his month pillar.
As to when this gentleman will marry the "right one", the element of Jia wood enters at the age of 26 to 36 years old in his luck year pillars. The element of wood feeds and strengthens his daymaster which is fire.
In real life, this gentleman married twice, once at the age of 24 years old. He was widowed at the age of 30 and remarried at the age of 33 years old. He remains married to the same lady to this day at the age of 78 years old.
The table below shows the "true spouse star" for each daymaster:
